On Saturday, December 10, the Board hosted its annual Christmas party for the staff at the Beacon Light Mission and the Doors of Hope Women’s Shelter. It is a time for the Board to say “Thank You” for all that the staff does to keep the Mission humming along with it’s task of reaching out to the needy in the community with a meal, a bed, a shower, and especially the message that God loves them. We could not do what we do without the commitment of our Resident Volunteers. They Make the Mission what it is. God is blessing us through them.
Several of our Board members getting ready to serve the Christmas Dinner to all the many volunteers who make this ministry happen. These men were willing to get involved in a ‘hands on’ capacity serving our Staff. They too are volunteers who donate their time to serve our homeless friends, in San Pedro, Wilmington and the South Bay.
It is a blessing just being a part of what we are all doing here at the Beacon Light Mission to make a difference for His Kingdom.
May the Lord continue to bless us.
In His service,
